Mastering
Mastering
Professional audio mastering to refine the overall balance, clarity, and level of your finished mix using equalization, compression, and limiting while preserving its character.
This is a personalized mastering service, not an instant download or a physical item. Mastering works on your finished stereo mix; it is not a replacement for mixing individual vocal and instrument tracks.
How it works
1. Purchase the service
Complete checkout using an email address you check regularly. Save your order confirmation and order number for your submission.
2. Prepare your finished stereo mix
Export the final mix you want mastered as a stereo WAV file at its original sample rate and bit depth. Check the entire export before sending.
- Send the highest-quality original export available. Converting an MP3 to WAV does not restore lost quality.
- Leave room below digital clipping. Do not raise the mix level just to make it louder before mastering.
- Avoid loudness-only limiting on the master bus when possible. If master-bus processing is essential to the sound, explain it and include an alternate version without that processing when available.
- Check for unwanted distortion, clicks, cut-off endings, and missing audio.
- Clearly name the file with your artist name, song title, and version.
- Include reference tracks and explain any intended fades or other finishing requirements.
If you need changes to individual vocals or instruments, email before ordering so we can confirm whether mixing is needed first.
3. Upload your files
Put your files in a folder labeled with your order number, artist name, and project title. ZIP the folder if helpful, then upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer. Create a downloadable link and check that the recipient can open it without requesting access. Keep a backup and make sure the link does not expire before the files can be downloaded.
4. Email your download link
Email andrei@andreimadeit.com from the address used for your order. Include your order number and project title in the subject line. Paste the download link into the email rather than attaching large audio files.
- Your name, order number, artist name, and project title.
- Your file-sharing download link.
- Reference-track links and notes explaining your desired sound.
- Tempo and key, if known, and any important technical details.
- Any requested release deadline. A requested deadline is not a confirmed delivery date.
5. Confirm the project details
Watch your email for questions or requests for missing files. Project scope, expected turnaround, delivery formats, and revision arrangements will be confirmed before work begins. If you have a fixed deadline, multiple songs, or specific delivery requirements, email before purchasing to confirm suitability.
6. Receive and review your audio
Delivery will be arranged through the email address associated with your order. Listen carefully and send feedback in one clear message, including timestamps where helpful. Keep your original files backed up throughout the process.
